It's Gottah be a Crime, Cause Food just Tastes so Good!

Eating out can be a very costly adventure for one to embark on.  Even more than that being a foodie and listening to the hipsters suggestions, can not only break your pocketbook but also

cause your waistband to expand, expand, expand.

Here are few places in Jacksonville that I just have to dine at on a regular because the food is just that good.

First Watch

Although it is a place that is everywhere I did not become a believer, lover, connoisseur of their food until I moved to Jacksonville. I started off with just a fresh squeezed Kale Tonic juice and because I was so impressed, I made it a point to go back again for breakfast! The food tastes fresh and wasn’t bland. (tends to be a problem when getting things like eggs from places) I am a salmon eater and when I saw the Salmon Frittata I knew that it would be a staple on the menu for me!

Give them a shot and give it a try the next time you wake up and what to try a new breakfast place.

Pho Today

I also like to think I have a very cultured palate and the Pho at Pho Today provides me with all the love I need in my life on those cold rainy days! I usually go with the regular size bowl and because I love spice I tend to turn up the heat on my bowl of Pho! I never truly can be disappointed or not in the mood for Pho because I have never left the table feeling unsatisfied.

The Loop Bar and Grill

I had never eaten at a place like The Loop but my coworkers always seemed to love the food. I had tasted the blue cheese chips and then upon further menu research decided that I wanted to try it out one lunch break. One of my indeed favorite places to go to enjoy a fairly good salad with one of my favorite proteins already mentioned Salmon! I tend to go for the Walnut Gorgonzola salad and then add Cajun Salmon for an extra kick/ or pick me up depending on how the day is going.

On the Fly Sandwiches & Stuff

If you are a true foodie then you can't say no to a good food truck! I grabbed an amazing “wet burrito” one day for lunch while I was downtown that could hardly be consumed by one person. I without question think that On the Fly deserves a nice shout-out for being readily available, quick, and very tasty. While there are plenty of items on the menu the “Cheesy Wet Burrito” is not for the vegan lover as it is stuffed with chicken and braised pulled pork! A mouthwatering feast indeed!

Nourish Juice Café

Let me just make this clear! I love smoothies and anyone that does not love the frozen blended delicious cold food/ drink is truly missing out on what it feels like to NOT only have eaten something but to also not be thirsty in the process. Hahaha! I go for the Dragon Fruit bowl or even the Acai and Oh baby it is worth it.

Safe Harbor

My Jacksonville foodie tour would not be complete without the number one place that I believe is a must when friends come to town, after church, and really just on any day, the wind is blowing! It all began with the Grouper and has rounded itself out with a nice blackened whole Flounder! No words and express the itis I receive after consuming my dear friend Flounder, just know that without Safe Harbor I would not truly be in love with Jacksonville!

Jacksonville is a hub of food deliciousness and I have not tasted nor traveled the entire city to try it all! Way more places to eat and dine to come, this I promise! For now just take some time and try to dine at any of these places.
