ISSA TRAP! Or It’s Yoga and Mimosas...
I decided to try it and I don’t regret it. I checked out Trap Yoga in Jacksonville and let me tell you … I am still sore from Saturday morning’s workout. If I would have gone alone I think I would have enjoyed it just the same but I am glad that I did it with friends and family! I had heard different things about Trap Yoga and up until that point yoga to me was about de-stressing and feeling good. I DID ALL OF THAT ANDDDD I rapped Cardi B while doing three backbends in a row!
I, as well as many others in the class, were beginners but I think that being pushed to keep up with the speed of the movements while trying to do the unmodified versions of the poses really challenged me. I didn’t even have to think about the moves that I actually committed too, I just did them! I think a lot of that had to do with the music! IT MUST HAVE BEEN THE MUSIC! Instead of being so focused I was able to just be free and listen to the instructor’s voice while engaging in the SUPERB musical selections.
The best part of the class for me was hands down the cooldown! Mostly because we just laid on our backs listening to calming music… just kidding! The cooldown was freeing to me. I am in a healing stage in my life right now and I needed to just close my eyes and think about nothing else but how my heart felt in that moment.

More than anything I needed to heal and Saturday was a great injection into that. I am all for naturally embarking on a journey to heal and TRAP YOGA did that!

Especially when they are bottomless! This was my second time dining at Hoptinger in Jacksonville and I would most def go back for another brunch, another salad, and more of that beer cheese with hot pretzels!!! MMMM MMMM Good!!
ALL in ALL, I recommend both to anyone that is willing to let go and just have fun with your workouts!!
